Answer: Read the book!
The provocative title of this book is not intended to excite further anger in the Black community but to promote self-awareness to trigger positive action.
Revealed is why so many Black women are furious at Black men who must accept responsibility for it. According to Reynolds, a strong relationship existed between Black men and women until the 1950's; it was the major factor in preventing racism from destroying the Black community. Then came the rupture.
The author makes a very strong case on how Black men can once again take charge of their lives to re-establish more permanent relationships. "The...social behaviors that are learned by African-American males lead only to increase the separation and hostility between African-American males and females...both are headed on a collision course and each will destroy the other...unless the healing takes place, from within."
