To All Involved

Thank you for an excellent first issue! Thank you for becoming my "GQ"!

By the way, I was very impressed with the tribute (on page 128) to Sammy Davis, Jr. "Mr. Entertainment" was the quintessential multi-talented broker of black entertainment, culture and style to the world. Far too often, and I realize what I'm about to say is a generality, but people - black and white - make fun of Sammy Davis, Jr. These "negative" portrayals of a man who went through so many struggles and opened so many doors to people of color is blatantly stupid. Of course, he was not a perfect man, but to ignore the positive contributions made by Mr. Davis is, in my view, one of the greatest misrepresentation of Black history.

Clearly, your magazine is managed by decision makers who, as expressed in the editor's letter, are very perceptive about what it really means to be the style broker in all areas of a black man's life. Obviously, I must subscribe to your magazine and I have!

Sincerely,

Trip Reynolds
